My girls also LOVE Whatever After and it’s the series that propelled my struggling reader’s love of reading. She first listened to the audiobooks and then started reading them even before she was fluent. But because she listened to them so much first, she was familiar with the harder words. Super creative storylines!

But a warning on this series, the books published after 2020 aren’t so squeaky clean. This is the same for the newer Nancy Drew diary books. It is very disappointing when agendas are pushed onto children.
